Boats leave at Gawwein jetty at the end of 35th street, some at Shwe Kyet Yet jetty:

From Mandalay to Bagan with Irrawaddy Princess II, : 2 days one night. Monday start at Shwekyetyet Jetty at 9 am. You visit Yandabo Village (terracotta production and Shwetantit and arrive at Bagan around noon. The other way, from Bagan to Mandalay, start on Thursdays, 3 days and 2 nights.

Government Ferry Mandalay-Bagan: Offered by IWT (Inland Water Transport). The price is 15 USD. On Saturday or Sunday and Wednesday. Leaves Mandalay at 5.30 am, arrives in Bagan at 5.30 pm. You can buy tickets at the pier. As seat you get a plastic chair.
Government Ferry Mandalay-Bhamo: The prise is 12 USD.
Government Ferry Mandalay-Katha: The price is 9 USD.
See alle the ferry routes by IWT. In Mandalay you find the IWT office on 35th Street, a few hundred metres from the river.


Boat to Mingun: Government-run ferry departs daily at 9am and returns at 1pm. return ticket fare K5000 sold at the small office at the pier. It takes about one hour there and 45 minutes back, giving you three hours to disvover Mingun. You can no longer climb the Mingun Paya. But you can see the world's largest bell and Hsinbyume Paya, a white pagoda.
